The National Narrative Is Shifting
Rival general managers are talking. "I love their offseason. They might be the team to beat in the AFC," one GM told FanSided's Jason La Canfora. CBS Sports is taking the Over on 9.5 wins, The Athletic's Mike Sando named the Lawrence trade his favorite offseason move in the league, and Jason McCourty put the Bengals alongside Kansas City, Baltimore, and Buffalo as AFC contenders.
Burrow is matching the energy. "We're going to go win a lot of games this year and play great and win a Super Bowl."

DEFENSIVE UPDATE
Overhaul At OTAs
ESPN's Ben Solak ranked the Bengals' defensive front overhaul seventh-best in the entire league: Boye Mafe, Dexter Lawrence, Jonathan Allen, and Cashius Howell in; Trey Hendrickson and Joseph Ossai out. The 2025 Bengals were dead last in pass rush win rate at 28.8 percent. The new guys all showed up to voluntary workouts, and Lawrence is already walking Shemar Stewart through technique drills and giving reps to rookie corners Tacario Davis and Ceyair Wright.
Barrett Carter put it plainly: "Once he got here, it naturally elevated the whole locker room. When he talks, everybody listens." Worth noting that the Hendrickson era ended with a public distraction for a defense full of young players. Lawrence is doing the opposite from day one.
