Bengals Fanbase

Well, we can add Kay Adams to the list of media personalities taking notice of the Bengals offseason moves. On her Up and Adams show this past week, she declared not winning the whole thing will be viewed as a failure. Well worth the ~6 minute watch if you haven’t already seen it!

THE LAWRENCE TRADE
Getting Better and Better

Two months in and the Dexter Lawrence trade is looking better the more you watch it play out. He was on the practice fields every day after the trade, before anyone could reasonably expect him. Zac Taylor said he was "shocked." Now ESPN's Jeremy Fowler is reporting the league-wide read is that Cincinnati got real value: one first-round pick for a player other teams have given up far more to acquire.

  • Assistant GM Steve Radicevic said it plainly: "You feel the energy in there every day. There is a difference." Chase said the move caught him completely off guard. "The moves they made are showing us they want to be with us too." This is what a culture addition looks like in real time.

BURROW & THE FRONT OFFICE
Setting Things Straight

"We're going to go win a lot of games this year and play great and win a Super Bowl." That's Burrow, first press conference of the offseason. Ted Karras confirmed what you suspected: "It did fire everyone up that Joe said that."

  • This week Burrow addressed the media noise about his relationship with the front office directly. "It's great, we always have a line of communication. I wasn't happy with how the last several years have gone, they weren't happy with how the last several years have gone. So we have that in common." He called this the most talented roster he's had in Cincinnati and said the front office has taken enough heat.

THE BAND IS BACK
Optional OTAs

Chase was reportedly not planning to show until mandatory minicamp. Then he just showed up. Day one of Phase 3, walking out to the practice fields, and the whole thing felt like the first day of something. Zac Taylor said the energy has been "exceptionally high" for weeks.

  • The contrast with last year is impossible to ignore. In 2025, the lasting image of OTAs was Trey Hendrickson in street clothes holding an impromptu press conference while his teammates practiced behind him. This year, it's Chase and Higgins setting the tone voluntarily. "If you on this team, you should be bought in," Chase said. Nobody argued.
